Roasted Salted Almonds Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups raw almonds
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven the 350 degrees.
  • In a bowl, toss the almonds and melted butter to coat.
    3 cups raw almonds, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Spread the almonds on a baking sheet and sprinkle with the salt. (start with 1/2 teaspoon)
    1/2 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Bake 5 minutes, stir the almonds and bake another 5-10 minutes.
  • Watch closely, almonds will burn quickly.
  • Remove from the oven to paper towels to cool and drain, if desired.
  • Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

Notes

Variations
  • Salt and Pepper Almonds – Add 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper.
  • BBQ Almonds – Use about 1 tablespoon of barbecue rub.
  • Smoky Roasted Almonds – Add chipotle chili powder or smoked paprika.
If using table salt cut the amount in this recipe in half.
You can use olive oil instead of butter.
Storing - Once completely cooled place them in an air-tight container or bag and keep them at room temperature for up to 2 weeks, refrigerated for up to 3 months, or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
